I just turned down Air Wisconsin today! I started working construction again right before we shutdown. Been happy as a clam since and have no plans to go back to the airlines!
I don't have the desire to start over at another regional. Had enough for the last 6 years to last me a lifetime.
Good luck to the rest of my former co-workers!

I'm hoping everyone can land on their feet. DAL has done their fair share of screwing with alot of people's lives in this situation. It's good to hear people make the best of it.

I have a job offer from Air Wisconsin and just out of curiosity if you don’t mind me asking. Why did you turn down the job? Was it the company or you just want to stay out of the airline business for now?

Plus flying for a company who has only 50 seat crj's is probably not the greatest career move these days. I have personally delivered 2 of our planes to be cut up and scrapped to Rockford, IL. The rest of our 50 fleet resides on a closed runway in Kingman, AZ awaiting their date with the shredder!
I refuse to start over at another regional. I could have been based at home. Same crappy schedule and same crappy paycheck. Not doing it again.

Well, there's a bit of good news out there for us OH'ers...two former CPs are in new-hire training at Omni, and another DTW CA, P.S. & I (downgrade) got hired there yesterday. We're in a pool waiting for the next 777 delivery. They know of our situation and are interviewing our guys as much as they can. I asked the CP that interviewed me yesterday if they're interviewing for a while yet, and he told me they're starting to wind down for the rest of this year.
Things are looking up at Omni and they've consistently made money lately and have expansion plans in place, so get on FSX and practice on the 767 because you'll have to demonstrate your raw-data hand-flying skills in a full-motion sim at the PanAm training center down in MIA.
Meanwhile, take advantage of the ALPA Furlough program and get down to the ATL job fair to talk to Spirit, amongst others....Atlas, et. al.
