Go ahead and flame me now, but when I was hired in '07, we completed the SIDA training via the computer-based program. Am I correct in saying that if we completed the more recent training then we are exempt from having to complete this latest installment? Thanks in advance for any answers.

No offense, but I got a chuckle from your post. When they say "from now on SIDA training will be required bi-annually", what, exactly, are you "hoping" they mean? That it won't be twice a year?

And I agree about the common sense stuff. I haven't decided if I'm going to do the CBT yet, but I don't think I'll be sweating my chances of passing the quiz at the end.

Geez. Everyone just go do the stupid thing, unless you want to pay a fee and do it after August 1st. It's not hard and it takes about 45 minutes. And if you can't pass the test at the end you probably shouldn't even be out in public. And for the third time, it is every 2 YEARS, not 6 months!!

Biannual: occurring twice a year, at least occurring to Merriam-Webster. biannual - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary.

If you did it last year it won't count. It's the same course but they have added a test at the end in addition to the questions at the end of each section. Very similar questions, but come one, "What does the red placard mean?" Then it shows you the placard and what is written on it. oh well.

Umm... if it would be twice a year, wouldn't that be semi-annual? Now, biennial means very two years. There is a difference between biannual and biennial.

Yeah, I was confused too. I was thinking the same thing you were, but good old Merriam never lies? Considering the amount of time we are spending on semantics I hope it was a mistake in the memo. Wouldn't be the first time.
