Leaving Boston this morning there was a Cherokee on approach freq, that lost "prop Hydraulic" control. That is how he explained it as I don't really know that type of aircraft. He was unable to maintain altitude and he thought he would be able to make KBOS. As a precaution he requested the trucks. Then shortly after his voice came over the radio declaring an emergency and said that he wouldn't make the airport and that he would try to put the airplane down in a field about 5 nm from KBOS.

Has anyone heard anything today about this aircraft? I hope the guy made it down alright. To listen to someone's voice real-time in an emergency and knowing there is nothing you can do to help is a terrible feeling. Like I said, I hope he's OK.

I thought it was hilarious today to listen to the controllers and US Airways guys trying to get their call sign right and say 'Cactus'. No more 'US Air' as of today.

Quote: It's official..

There are no plans for Qdoba to move to Concourse A or B when C closes. Qdoba will close when concourse C closes.

I was chatting with the manager of the Qdoba on my 3 hours sit in CVG today.
That sucks! Qdoba is the only decent place to eat in CVG!

So is this true. There is no more freedom court case with Delta as they agreed out of court to drop their CRJ's and the ERJ's will continue as normal? Also according to a freedom pilot they are getting a large increase in nyc flying in october........

If this is true, this is very very bad for Comair.

Sounds to me like Comair isn't in Delta's future plans... Guess it may be time to brush off the 'ol resume.

How exactly do you figure that?

The "huge increase in JFK flying" may just be returning to their normal level of ERJ service that they had before. It was half Comair and half Freedom for the longest time.

If this is even true. I wouldn't worry about it too much guys. The sky has been falling here for years, this is no different.
