Yes, just close the doors and shut off the lights. Oh, they are - Concourse C.

I bet this is one Delta decision that won't change by next week.

I could see CVG and MEM turned into focus cities just like IND is currently one for NWA. No domicile there but a lot of flights in and out to both the bases and other key cities such as DC, NYC, MCO, LAS, etc.

Net Conference Planned for September 23

You are invited to join President John Selvaggio for his next monthly Net Conference from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23. John will provide a brief update before he fields participant questions online and via the phone.

I underlined the word 'planned', 'cause I'm sure they'll cancel it again...

Cant wait for this one. I hope somebody grows some balls and ask DS exactly why we lost those airplanes(i know delta calls the shots and they cant do anything about it)

DS. I was wondering why we lost the 900's? Could it have something to do with the fact that after we were awarded these a/c eMaestro crashed 3 times within a week? Maybe eMaestro isn't exactly ready yet?

Delta and all the wholly owned regionals need to operate on the same damn systems and programs and that's the bottom line. As soon as the merger goes through, we've already been toild that the three wholly owned carriers will need to be on the same operating systems and programs....which will be chosen by Delta and the entitythat will be in command of all three regionals. Emaesro's days are numbered!

Just two weeks ago this board was alive with pilots crying that the union shouldn't be focused on eMaestro...the union should only be working to prevent furloughs.

Of course those comments all came from those who did not witness firsthand the scheduling meltdown during Christmas of 2004.

If you can't schedule, you can't run an airline. We can't say for certain that Comair's history of failing to invest in infrastructure and competent IT personnel, and haphazard implementation when they do, was the reason thsoe airframes are not coming here.

Then again, we can't say for certain it wasn't.

Kudos to the MEC for continuing to work on a resolution on the eMaestro debacle during trying times. Fortunately they understand that without a solid infrastructure, none of us will be employed by Comair.

What Scheduling, Flight Planning, Maintenance, and Aircraft Tracking software packages do Mesaba and Compass use?

While eMaestro/Carmen seems to be lacking, our other systems seem to do just fine. Our Flight Planning system (the name eludes me) handles our workload quite well (ASA has all kinds of problems generating releases at times). From what I heard, now that Trax is online, the maintenance department seems happy with its performance (Bubba, chime in here). As a former user of Fleetwatch, I don't know of any way to make it much better (other than a few tracking details, which I think Trax might have helped/fixed).

Speak for yourself. I couldn't have been any more involved in the Christmas meltdown (keep in mind, the XMas debacle was not entirely due to SBS).

The union should protect the members not try to run the company. If the company wants a retarded schedulling system then the union should allow it and come to the company only with contract problems and get them solved. This would be in a perfect world where DS is not there. Bottom line the unions main job is to protect the members not run the company.

Problem is the scheduling system IS part of the contract and its implementation without approval from the union is a contract violation.
