I saw an article in the paper a few days ago about the near mid-air at ORD earlier in the week. The paper quoted someone by saying "The 2 aircraft came within 400 feet of each other, and it was just chance that they didn't hit at that range".
So, if 2 airplanes are 400 feet apart, they are expected to contact each other?
What numbers? and how are you working them?

It's not a true first class.....if you can't stand up, it aint first.

Besides, in today's economy, its inefficient to run 3 smaller 50 seat threads when you can run 1 big shiny 76 seat thread with first class.

Actually, I joined to tee-off on 157. The amount on bush-league remarks that spew forth from his keyboard amaze me. Besides I know the kid from college...it ill be fun.

Let me rephrase/reword the article. I'm driving northbound on I75. You're driving southbound on I75. We pass 400 feet apart from each other. According to the article, it was just dumb luck that we didn't hit each other.

I saw that aticle too. I believe what the article was implying was that at 400 knots closure, 400 feet comes within a few milliseconds of something really bad happening....

Depends on how tall you are. They aren't lie flat seats, but they are better than the seats in cattle class.

I can jump in the 50, granted it's more closely related to a "hop" but for me it's doable!
