That would be great. I'd love to see the big picture crumble in our favor.

What's your thoughts of Comair going the way of Skyway? Don always talked about how profitable ground handling was and with all the merger talks, there's obviously going to be several regionals that get cut.

Will N-E-V-E-R Happen... Ma Delta Cannot afford to Sell Comair, and Comair is cheaper to operate than Skywest/ASA.. isnt that why we took a pay cut DEC 06..

well the 3am rr have been used almost daily so who knows how long they will keep them around they are primarily used to ferry. Flt control likes having them so it might be a permanent spot

I don't understand why they can't call out an A1 reserve if they need someone. The last time I sat one of the 3 a.m. readys I already had a trip, (illegal trip I might add) on my line the night before, so they obviously knew this flight was going to happen, so why not call an A1...?!?

RR must be in your window so an A2 cant sit rr at 0300

I havent seen and A1 in forever.

A reserve from home must be used before a ready
The departure could have been the issue

a2 cvg needs 1.5 hour call out
0330 window open not to mention if they wait the entire 15 min
0500 rpt 0515 rpt
0600 dept 0615 dpt (can be 45min rpt-dpt)

I guess they rather have someone there rather then having to wait when i worked overnights they use to get upset cause there wasn't any rr. to cover maintenance flts that needed to go out to prevent cancellations in the morning.

then again it could be worse ive had to sit people at 0130 thats early

I just came to lying naked on the floor in the fetal position sucking my thumb. Your reference to 3 am ready reserves gives me wicked flashbacks to years ago sitting in the quiet lounge in CVG trying to fight for one of the two lazy boys available. Ready reserve is the absolute worst assignment at Comair. There should never be a situation that the company couldn't predict a two hour callout for. Time to drink some scotch now, warm the belly and forget the old 14 hour duty days, reduced rest layovers following the early RR.

Then the pilots get upset because we are sitting on a plane ready to go at 400am and have to wait an hour or longer for whatever we are ferrying. Been there done that, we were almost always waiting on the part of what not to take with us.
