Man..... bad news to me. I know a guy who's trying to transfer over to MX, has his A&P and with these cuts, I guess he just had massive amounts of sunshine blown up his butt. Why are they advertising for MX on the Comair careers program if they looking to get rid of folks?

Bubba since we're going down to 100- FOR NOW- I gues pilots and F/A's with close to 10 years just got asked if they're into anal? And don't think it's you doin somebody. Sad .

How can Delta force the contract carriers to foot 100% of the fuel bill? I would have to think the contracts each carrier has with Delta specifically outlines how the fuel will be supplied/paid for. Wouldn't Delta be violating the provisions of these contracts?

On another note, when exactly is the Delta/Mesa showdown due to take place?

After watching Obama's speech just now, I doubt the Mesa thing will go in Delta's favor. Any type of court action that could possibly place a few thousand people out of a job is going to be a hard one to pass. In a recession it will be much easier for Mesa to convince a judge that if Delta gets rid of them it could have such a devastating result that could force the carrier to shut down.

H-H-H-Here's a sad example of the 2009 3825-Us P-P-P-Plan:

November 30, 2008 marked the six (6) month period for the Perfect Attendance Program. In order to be qualified for the program, a Flight Attendant must maintain a reliability record that is free from any sick occurrences, unexcused absences or late arrivals for the designated periods of time. Flight Attendants who are on any type of leave of absence (outside of FML) beyond 30 days will not be eligible.

Six (6) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes

Nine (9) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes
Invitation to recognition lunch with Inflight Leadership

Twelve (12) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes
Invitation to recognition lunch with Inflight Leadership
Three days off with pay
  1. Days must be requested at least 7 days in advance
  2. Days must be approved based on operational needs
  3. Days may be taken consecutively or separately
Here's the kicker:

If you believe that you have met the qualifications for 6, 9 or 12 months of perfect attendance, please complete the attached form and submit it to your supervisor or the Inflight Employee Services Coordinator to ensure that you receive your certificate and that your name is added to the drawing. Drawings will be held quarterly and will include separate drawings for each step.

Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our customers. --

---------------

So, in order to get recognized by the company, you need to fill out a form to let the company know that you deserve recognition. This just goes to show that morale problems aren't only affecting the rank and file - Management doesn't really care whether employees get recognized. They're just trying to avoid having to review everyones attendance records. Every FA should fill out the stupid form whether they think they're eligible or not, just to make Management do their jobs.

Sounds like the managers in Inflight will be getting a lot of free meals in 2009.

So the vage gave free pizza to Captains and now we have ng4 feeding senior FAs. Yummy.

They must have seen willflyforfood.com and thought they were being serious?

Perfect attendance for flight attendants? I've got a great bridge in Brooklyn to sell you if you buy that one...
