A few more RUMORS or things I've heard the last few days...

-Furlough numbers are now up to 350.
-No voluntary leaves or early outs are planned.
-Talks about a "part time pilot program".
-Scheduling sucks.

Basically same thing. One post says the CP/DO comes in and says up to 350 furloughs and ALPA has not done anything to try to reduce the numbers. Another post says the day before the same guy (CP/DO.. SB) comes in and says that the issues are resolved and the numbers will be reduced through ALPA/Company cooperation through voluntaries and early-retirement buyouts.

The company doesn't seem to know what it's doing or it's trying to wait out for a reversal from Delta as far as schedules, especially with oil prices going down. They're stalling for something.

I've been wondering the same thing lately. While all the other regionals seem to be making developments with their pilot reductions, it seems like nothing more has come about at Comair.

question about the contract im not clear on. i just saw a trip on emesstro that involves me being deadheaded on tuesday which is the first of 3 GDO's. i have not accepted this trip im going to wait till the idiots call me in the morning. But does that mean im being junior manned? and if so is that legal because i believe in the conract i read that i need to be notified no less than 12hrs 2 days before the scheduled departure of the paring(24-26 paragraph 5b) also if this is a legal assignment how are they going to make the day off to me this month when my days off take up the rest of the month. i feel like this isnt a legal trip and any advice is appreciated.

They can not schedule you on a GDO like that... look at the reserve list and see how many pilots are able to do the assignment. This is like what 4 days away they can only take a day off away from you if it is the only option, which I doubt. I would let them know that when they try to contact you about it.
