Page 623... a few posts down. I didn't want to single out anyone in particular. I keep hearing it over and over in ops and on various message boards.

I wouldn't sweat it it's probably just made by some 200 hour 25 year old who has never gotten laid in his life, and with his dorky computer skills only knows how to please a woman via cybersex.

I believe it came out some time ago that a Comair guy did that to spoof the way the Mesa/Freedom guys act. It actually made me laugh a few times...

I guess my sarcasm was too thin... An F/O that busts his Captain checkride stays in the right seat, so if they wanted to bounce a Captain back to F/O and he threw his checkride would they keep him in the left seat? Ha Ha. Nevermind...

Piper survey letter...

First, thanks to all crewmembers who participated in the survey. We received more
responses than expected and the majority of the comments we received were positive and
helpful. In total, 232 pilots and 300 flight attendants responded. Based on the size of our
pilot group, we did not achieve a large enough sample size to legitimize the survey. While
the response was strong among flight attendants, only CVG flight attendants responded in
large enough numbers to make valid assumptions about the feelings of the CVG FA group
as a whole.

Uhhh...OK?!?

So more folks responded than expected, but not enough to get reliable data? Does this mean Comair went ahead with a survey that they expected to fail?

As far as the comments being "positive and helpful", the 12 or so comments in the memo were "positive" in that they demanded changes without using profanity, so I guess that could be called positive. Helpful? Each suggestion was answered with a reason why it can't be done.

But I'm sure things will get better at Comair now that the survey is complete. Unless Comair decides to rethink their company strategy again (has it been 23 days yet?)

That survey is pretty much worthless now, my guess is that trips will go to $hit come September anyway. I'm still trying to figure out how we can lose 9,000 hours of flying?!

Give it a month and they will show you how. History shows that flight schedules decrease in the fall anyway, then add domestic capacity cuts and there you have around 9,000 hours of flying.

I'm not sure that we really realize how bad this oil situation could get for the airlines. The airlines are going to continue to pinch weight for fuel savings as much as they can. This may even lead to government help. But as far as making a decent living after a couple of years goes, that may soon not be the case. Our contract is up for negotiations in 2011. I don't seen anyway possible that we will be able to improve anything by then. In fact, the industry as a whole will probably continue the downward trend of wages and work rules. By that time we probably won't even have flying bennies anymore. What will be the point?

Anybody have any updates from John-O's "State of the Comair Address"?
