i will let them know but unfortunatly because of the great eMESStro im not able to look at avalible reserves with out acknowledging the assignment. if you dont mind looking.

There is a ton to people able to do the trip.... I count at least 10 people just sitting around at the moment.

Anyone know if I can still swich vacation dates for Sept. By the time it opens up again I will have already bid for the month. I have put a call into RP at bid production. but just wondering if anyone can help.

But I'm looking for the vacation type I get paid for and not by the government at the unemployment line.

All reserves repeat after me...

12.B.5 A reserve pilot will be scheduled for at least one (1) set of three (3) and one (1) set of four (4) immovable days off in a bid period. If you are on reserve you can not be scheduled for any duty on your GDOs (Unless you're picking up OT or EF). So if you are notified Saturday that you will be working on a GDO Tuesday, it is an illegal assignment. It doesn't matter if there are a dozen reserves or zero. Even if you're the only available reserve pilot in the whole company, it doesn't make an illegal assignment any more legal.

On the other hand - If for some reason during a trip you can not get back on your last reserve day (MX, timed out, missed DH connection, etc) then sched can get you back to domicile on your GDO, pay you premium for the day, and replace your day off.

Reserves can not be JMed on a GDO.

Don't forget - other regionals are the lineholders. They know their schedule a month in advance. Comair is the reserve airline... we never have a day off, and we don't even know where we'll be tonight - let alone next month.

Everything has to go from CVG to ATL and back through CVG, rinse and repeat ad nauseum before anything really happens.

Why else would Comair be hiring 300 pilots when the rest of Earth had already stopped interviewing?

Default 1st class medical question

When we (FO's) get our medical we get a 1st class and allow it to lapse into a 2nd class. Does anyone know if we still get our medical every year as before or with the new extention do we have extra time before we renew?
