Because of people like you, that have an IQ of 40 and an attention span of 30 minutes, so they decided to have relieve pilots on the longer flights.

Because of the 5 hour taxi before the 4 hour flight.

It's actually a safety issue. A joint study between the FAA and NTSB recently found that the average regional pilot only carries enough "company material" for 2 hours worth of flying. Therefore, they deemed it necessary to mandate that all flights with a scheduled block time of more than 2.5 hrs be adequately staffed with a certified relief pilot. Section 105 of the contract explains all of this, including the required compensation of 25% pay and two bags of peanuts.

I, for one, am in favor of this change, as it should help to keep the number of pilots on furlough to a minimum.

On a seperate topic, anyone else ready to be spoon-fed more B.S. tomorrow during the "net conference"? Maybe this one will be cancelled too!

Be advised - doing the manifest and W&B is not work. For it to be work you would have to get paid for doing it.

Off the top of my head...

Ask why CHQ and Mesa park at CVG gates C2-C20, which makes us walk farther to get to the Comair crew bus (or station wagon, as the case may be)?

Ask why CVG is getting major facelifts (new floors in C, new food court in B, new busses, repaved employee parking) when Delta has promised to keep CVG open (which obviously means they won't)?

Ask if the jets SKW gets awarded (to pick up the terminated XJet flying) will be matched at Comair per our contract (2007 sideletter - 30% of new and unawarded aircraft)?

Who will the new CEO be when newguy's term is up in September?

When can we vote for concessions to help Delta cope with $140/bbl fuel?

Is it true the 150 CAs are being bumped back to FO because the Captain's lunches were getting too expensive?

Is Maestro still on track for a December launch for the Flight Attendants, so we can have another airline-wide Christmas vacation?

Why does the "1997-2007 anniversary" CRJ900 pull to the right during taxi?

How's the working relationship with DCI's new Chancellor, Don Bornhorst?

How long till we get the new PPAS books for cost factor 4 - the red ones, where we shut down #1 upon leaving cruise altitude?

When will CRJDriver be put in charge of selecting the new Flight Attendant uniforms?

I just flew 'roadkill' yesterday and didn't have problems, but someone did hit the right wingtip a few days ago...

New uniforms won't make our F/As any prettier...

But if I could pick..
