I don't know exactly what FQ stands for, but the only time I've seen it was on the line of someone who didn't pass their LOE during re-qual.

Ouch! What does happen if you fail to qualify?

It stands for "Farquad" from Shrek...Comair has it's own fantasy world..where there's growth, prosperity and upgrades!

The contract spells out in detail the process if you are off of probation what the procedure is after a recurrent failure. As a probationary pilot that protection is a little diffrent and from my understanding most individuals are counselled asked why the lack in performance and then given an oppurtunity after a retrain. If this happens to you though call a Status Rep to help you get the Training Commitee involved.

My recurrent mv/loe though not perfect was a good time. Especially when you get a great partner that you can have a good time with the process. Others I know came out in cold sweats depends on a variety of factors but a good partner and a good check airman make a world of diffrence.

Did everybody miss the vacancy bid that came out yesterday? They are hiding it under crewmember services. Only 15 upgrades. Cinci really is fat on FOs.

I didn't even see that. Why aren't they putting that sh*t on the front page where it belongs.

Vacancy for 15 JFK Captains and 18 CR7/9 F/Os in CVG.

Hmm... even though I'm not a bid fan of the CR7/9, I wonder if I will actually fly more if I bid over. Reserve is probably longer over there?! Anyone know?

the reason for the 70/90 vacancy bid is that they figure on losing the top 70 FO's in the captains vacancy bid.

Reserve on the 70 will just depend on your seniority number. I had a wopping 9 days of reserve and have a line in Feb. The 70 is soooo much nicer. No fighting to get your bag in that stupid compartment, never have to check the oil. You can walk under the wing without having to get on your Knees. One word FADEC! Auto Bleeds, don't mess with the pacs etc.

And the FO even has his/her own hat rack!!!!
