Don't do it! I know an airline that did that once. They started back in '79. They ran the airline pretty good until they were sold to a major airline that ran them into the ground. Rumor had it that the VP DS was good friend with some guy named Lorenzo who gave him tips on how to run an airline. Moral ended up in the crapper, they lost flying and eventually closed shop. Stay away from starting an airline!

Im on the verge myself, hence the month COLA's. Refuse to do reserve in JFK. Not there yet but once displacements come through i will be on reserve. I attempted to bid back to right seat just to return to CVG. No allowed apparently unless displaced. Which by the numbers it is not going to happen.

I cant believe it.... DS must be on vacation or something because I just put in a request to change my rsv window (which I was unable to bid for due to cnx diff training) from A4 to A6 and EVERY FREAKIN day was approved. This is a new leaf for Comair and means only two things:

1. Hell has frozen over.

2. Comair is shutting its doors for good.

Have a nice day.

I don't know why you are so happy about this. Instead of having a line, you will now be a slave to crew scheduling.

The more and more I read through these press release, the more idiotic this sounds. I can tell you right now, that even with these new 11 jetbridges that will apparently take them 2-3 years to install, you will still see passengers hauling their huge carryons up and down the stairs. Also, I am so glad they spend a crapload of money getting those brand spankin' new buses to haul passengers around. I guess they'll just park them. As far as no job loses, give me a break, are you telling me they are going to move all these guys over to Concourse A? What about the ramp tower guys?

I'm not... just happy that a request was approved... I guess counting my blessings, it is better than being furloughed... which is going to happen anyway.
