Good point, I was there at both of those times and after the Delta purchase; Comair became no more. Gone were the hottie FA's, Gone was the growth, positive future, and a life long airline. Comair is trying to get back to what a feeder carrier was, a stepping stone. And they f a bunch of people along the way...

I'm going on unemployment and when that runs out and I still dont have a job, I will probably live out of a canoe under the I-71/75 bridge downtown Cincinnati.

Hey guys, keep your chins up. Getting let go from Comair is like sitting in the electric chair at 11:59 and the governor calls to pardon you. Take it as a blessing. Go somewhere where there is growth. It is not a step back, where were you going at Comair anyway? You all may want to look into getting a 737 type rating, I think there is a program where the government will pay for it, seeing that you are unemployed. This is what you had to look forward to at Comair; My last month at Comair after 10 yrs of service. Two 5 day trips, followed by a RR. The last 5 day I flew 29:40 and they weren't going to let me go. I begged to get out of the RR, talked to a Sr. Sched. end told them I was leaving and hung up the phone. Furthermore, when I dropped off my letter of resignation, one CP asked where I was going, I said NWA. Keith S replied I hope you like getting furloughed. I replied, I would rather not be working and have a number at a Major then deal with this dump, good luck. And walked out....

Well put INAV8OR....the program to which you are referring is the Workforce Investment Act: WIA Information and Tools
Do you live in or near MSP? I think I know you - we mighta flewded together. Keith S is an ***. The company is a sinking ship and everyone needs to buckle down and get the hell out, unless you've got 15+ years there in which case you make too much and can't recoup your losses. Anyone else needs to be pounding the pavement and networking big time. Forget what Mesa is doing or whether they're going to T.U.... Who cares. What if they don't? The industry is imploding on itself and we've got nobody to blame but ourselves.

Currently in IND, trying to sell home to move to MSP; grew up there. The best way to get to NWA or DAL is Compass. It is a risk, however, you guys are still in early enough, figure about 7 yrs to Main line. 2 yrs to upgrade, 3 yrs as PIC, so maybe 5 yrs. Anyhow, good luck-get the TYPE RATING, you may need it someday.
