Ehhhh... sounds like a great deal... I just find it hard to believe the 'new' Delta won't furlough after the merger. But then again, CVG won't be de-hubbed! All is ok.

By the way, anyone else enjoy that lovely letter from the union?

If you do happen to make it through October, GREAT things are happening in Flight Ops, including a new month where things may get better in November. Oh wait, you're jobless in November. Nevermind.

Sincerely, The Entire Comair Team"

I saw my line in eMaestro and then it disappeared. Were the lines ever published in the PDF format?

I'm sorry to say you bid yourself into that schedule.

Now, granted, you had no idea what recurrent you were going to be awarded, so that makes bidding more difficult. I think bidding DCA during a month where you have recurrent might help eliminate the "6 on 1 of 6 on."

So I have a question for those being furloughed. Well, those (expecting) furlough. How long do you plan on riding out this storm? I have talked to a number of guys that have degrees and/or experience doing other things and are saying that they will give it 6 months at max and then they are out of here. Just curious as to what your thoughts are.

Clearly speculation has already set in with IKE and there are gas stations charging 5.49 a gallon in Orlando near Disney.

Not that I believe everything the company says, but that Delta memo praising the VAgio states that he intends to reduce the operational costs yet by another 15 mil annually. I don't see how that is possible.

.
Hell, man, the lowest trade price of oil today was at $99.95, still going down.

Yes, oil still continues to trade low. Watch what happens to that if a refinery gets damaged. Nearly 45% of our refining capacity is on the gulf coast. That includes where jet A is refined. The only reason gas is trading low is because of natural gas hype and current elections. What happens when the election is over. I don't want to start a politics debate, but if J.M gets his way for "Drill baby Drill," the Middle East is going to run to the bank laughing because that would mean we have no alternative energy policy and we will continue to import oil even while drilling here in America.

They are saying that this storm could cause gas prices at the pump to reach levels we have never even tossed around before.
