Do you think the Pinnacle guys see this as "new" flying?

Two months ago Comair said we were getting 7 Freedom aircraft. Did you see it as "new" flying then?

This award was not part of the RFP in 2006. This award was not on the books when we signed the contract in 2007. This award was this week. That's why I "see" it as a new award.

Absolutely not, because it wasn't. Because if it were, you would certainly see the Sky West guys freaking out cause they didn't get their cut

This was not an award. Lets not get into semantics here. Yes, Pinnacle may feel like they were awarded with flying this week, but the fact remains that these 7 Freedom aircraft were existing DCI aircraft. Not a new award, rather a reallocation.

The new flying clause in the contract was just a tease.

cyrcadian,

First, wheres the pup in the FO shirt avatar?

second, that's my problem with this whole "new" term. I have no idea how it's supposed to be defined. Is new only the result of an RFP? If the merciful delta decides to shift flying to one and away from another is it or is it not new? I have no idea. I just know that we are a bunch pilots trying to read a contract written by scumbag lawyers and have it broken daily by our management. Then Mr. Sunshine glamour shot states that moral is your problem.....nothing he can do to help.

Here are some suggestions Glamour Shot.

1) stop violating our contract and that includes that POS maestro
2) tell us the truth. I know fuel is expensive....try shedding some light on what I don't know.
3) start treating all of us as respected members of a company instead of people you feel forced to talk to....how do I know the last one, because you were on one of my flights and didn't bother to introduce yourself to the flight deck until after the flight was over.

Feel free to add your own suggestions.

Was this the flight where Glamor Shots wife was screaming at the crew about how "Comair was the worst airline ever" and he just sat there and didn't say a thing?
