I am going to call BS on this one.

http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/a...2005030455.htm

4th year Capt rate is $64 an hour and saying they only get the 75 hour MMG they are making $57,600 for the year not counting Perdiem. I avg 400 a month just in perdiem so do the math thats 4800 a year in perdiem. so add that together thats $57,600 + $4800= $62,400 a year before taxes.
Thats based on long jet pay its a little lower for short jet pay but your 46k is wrong/

Default Skyhigh - read this on per diem..

4800 a year in perdiem

Are you serious? LOL...That's the funnies thing I've heard in weeks...

My wife makes 1,600 per month on perdiem. and has the benefit of being home every day...Who negotiated your pay / benefits?

I thought I was underpaid as active duty AF - my BAS / BAH only gives me an extra 1400 per month...

i was on reserve not flying much and 400 a month in perdiem was just being low on the numbers. 1.60 an hour is our perdiem. 400 times 12 is what i used. Once you are a line holder that goes up. That perdiem is based on a reserve pilot that doesnt break the 75 mmg.

$1.60 is about average for a jet regional. Several are lower. I don't know what your wife does, but I'm pretty sure she isn't a regional airline pilot.

The rate goes up based on the terms of your contract. Usually there is an annual increase.

An E145 Captain at $64 per hour with an average 85 hour line = $5440. Add perdiem of approx. $560 = $6000 per month pre-tax.

BTW, enjoy your high BAH rate. Not all military families get that kind of BAH rate.

Wife works for www.barra.com

You're right - most military families don't get as much BAH as I enjoy...

I need to count my blessings...

Thanks for breaking down the per diem...

Yes, XJT is a very nice company to work for, HOWEVER this thread would not be complete without the mention that CAL is currently asking XJT come "significantly lower" on their price to CAL. It is not for certain, but pay/work rule concessions at XJT are likely to be in the near future.

Could this happen Maybe, Right now everything is just Forum gossip. Anything is possible in this industry but nothing has been said at all yet and CAL and XJET are currently in negotiations for the next contract. We will see what is to happen here very soon.

Someone wanting a job at a good Airline would probably be very happy here at XJET. It all depends on you personally what you want out of the job. For me its to be based in Houston so i dont have to commute and can be home with the family more and to be at a company that i enjoy working for. To each his own.

so Superpilot92 do you think that you will be taking pay cuts so that you don't lose flying in the next few years and how long do you think the upgrade will be for someone hired right now? are you guys the next american eagle? 7 year upgrades. one last question what makes a super pilot?

to answer you question about what will happen in the future about XJET and CAL would be stupid for anyone to pretend they know whats going to happen. Upgrade changes on a whim could be fast could be never, again things change anyone in this industry knows not to try and guess what the future holds. American Eagle is a good stable company also so what do you mean about a company becoming the next american eagle? Upgrade? Who knows, what about when AA starts calling people back later down the road? When that happens alot of movement will begin at eagle. Companies change, times change, go work where you will be happy to work at. And Superpilot is a sarcastic term my Cheif Pilot used when to referring to Student pilots at the flight school as a joke. You know how Student pilots start to feel like they know everything well he would refer to everyone as Superpilots. Hope that answers your questions.
