Default for sp92

sp92, this is encouraging. I'm about 6 years behind you. I'm at TCU currently and am considering transferring to UTA (alot cheaper) so I can start flyin in arlington. What did you do while you were at tarleton state, flying wise? And how many hours did you rack up at 5 semesters at that waco flying college?

thanks for your help

It is part of our pay. Not only is it part of our montly paycheck, it is tax free as well.

Do you not eat at work? Do you not count the money you spend on food as part of your pay?

I Instructed at TSTC while finishing my degree. Flew about 75 hours + a month while going to school full time. Depending on the month and wx give or take some. I would drive down to Killeen to take my classes 2 days aweek all day of classes and instruct the rest of the week in Waco. Worked out pretty good. Good luck. This is a good job in a horrible industry, just remember that. Be careful what you get yourself into this job comes with alot of uncertainty.

Disclaimer-if there are any mispellings i typed it fast and dont care. Carry on

Default expressjet job

My husband just was hired by ExpressJet, He had right around the minimums of flight time (600 and 100), but also had a type rating in a CRJ and had completed an airline transition course. I think these extras helped get him the interview and the job. He is in training right now, but it seems like its going to be a good airline to work for.

Superpilot92,

Thanks for your candid response about XJT. I'm probably a few weeks behind on this post but I found your comments helpful.
