PSA Hiring

That would be great but I HIGHLY DOUBT that will happen any time soon. PSA will not spend any money. An all 700 fleet means raises for the pilot group. I say no way, at least for the forseeable future.

Not only that but someone, PSA or Airways, would need to spend the money for the -700's. The -900's are already Airways aircraft. Besides, a lot of the routes the -700's do can easily be done by a -200 or a Piedmont TP.

I hope soon for the sake of those on furlough. But, probably not gonna happen until the industry/economy turn around. I have a feeling we are going to see a serious drop in pax traffic over the next year or two which will offset lower fuel prices. All signs point to this being a long furlough. Of course, they could start recalling tomorrow and it wouldn't come as much of a surprise either.

Worse yet... just a rumor, but I heard MORE furloughs could be possible. I think that was based on something TK said in recurrent... that they easily could but won't. Who knows.

I see the sarcasm here... but I just went 16 days with NO calls... that's through the 'busy' Thanksgiving travel season.
