SKYW: Pay Proposal -- Voted NO today.

At RAH the general thought is that if both management and the pilot group agree on the first try then we didn't ask for enough. Aim high then work your way down. That's negotiation. Don't take the first thing that comes out. You'll always be able to go back there. What have you really lost by saying no?

Nah, because the dipstick captain I flew with a few days ago voted yes because "Hey, a little is better than nothing." Great mentality, Einstein.

I personally think it will be 60% NO.
One thing you can tell stubborn captains like the one you flow with Timmay is...
"The proposal is not going to pass anyway. By voting YES, you are showing management how divided the pilot group is."

Loss of medical insurance
Legal assistance
Guaranteed rules that must last
Raises every year that happen because they were signed into effect
A hotel committee
A scheduling committee
The list goes on.
I still do not understand turning down a union at a regional airline.
