Default Awac

Haven't heard much on them lately. Do people enjoy it there? QOL? Benefits? Outlook for the future?

My buddy that works there loves it. Although, hiring has slowed down --- from what she says. Good pay, Great contract...that's all I know.

We've got our issues just like everyone else, do a search, but I like it here so far, except I live in the Midwest, and the commute sucks, so I am moving into base, hear life will get even better.

LGA is going to be the most junior base in May when it opens but right now they are all about the same. No growth projected or larger airplanes and I wouldn't hold my breath on either of those at AWAC either.

Will AWAC ever go back to doing United Express flying? That would be amazing, for me anyway..

- No growth planned.
- Contract with US Airways goes another 7.5 years or so.
- No plans to fly for United anymore.
- Contract is industry leading, but that's not saying much.
- Training is pretty good.
- Bases are PHL, DCA, ORF and starting in May we are opening RDU and LGA. Expect LGA to be the junior domicile.
- Any of this can change tomorrow.
- Upgrade is about 3 years, give or take.
- We operate 70 CRJ-200s (well 69 at the moment....) and that's it.
- All east coast flying from BGR to about South Carolina with a few trips to Key West. A few Midwestern flights, but not much
- If you live in or near domicile it's not bad.
