Call them and ask...I know that the two main recruiters are out of the office today because I happened to run into them at O'Hare but whoever is in the recruiting office today will be able to give you an idea.

You will not get paid during the 3 week course. You are only offered the class if you make it through the hiring process. They want you but want to make sure you make it through ground. Your date of hire is when you get done with 3 week course and check into ground school just like all the other guys showing up for ground. When you get the ground school date they will probably tell you at that time based on your current times.

I start the course on March 3rd.

It is good if you are going to a domicile like BOS since you know your going to the EMB. Someone going to DFW MIA LAX ORD may not be as lucky and go through 36 hours of systems and 20 hours of sim in the ERJ145 then get assigned one of the other aircraft at ground. Good expierence anyway.

not everyone that gets hired under 800/100 takes the RJ course. MANY in my class did not take the course with low time and some with those times did. I beleive it is assigned based on a combination of how well you did in the interview (HR, TECH, & SIM) and your times. It's not a garanteed job, but Eagle is hurting for pilots, they want you to finish training and they will help you all they can to see that it happens.

They give you your ground school start date when they schedule you for the RJO course. Of course if you don't pass the RJO course then you lose the job offer.

So correct not guaranteed but is guaranteed upon successful completion.

I just want to make sure its clear.

If only that money can be recycled to the employees online to retain pilots from leaving instead of gambling it away with this transition course! Other than that, Iam having a great time here in MQ.....

A few guys in my group had to do it, so I'm just really wondering if I'm all set or is there something eagle has yet to tell me.
If they didn't mention it then I'm assuming they won't have you take it. There were lots of people in my class with less than the 800tt who didn't take it. If they talked to you about it then that's another situation. Also they have two different courses they send can send you to. One is 1 week, the other is 3. They pay for the course, the housing, and of course the transportation to and from but that's it. The 1 week one is about a $75 cab ride from the airport so keep that in mind. Don't know about the 3 week course.

If they did mention it, I would totally take it as long as you're fine with the 18 month contract. You talk a lot about the FMS is ground school and if you've never been exposed to one all the talk is probably going to go right over your head.

Also, I think whether or not they want you to do the program is based solely on your TIMES, not how you did in the interview. Whether or not you get the job is based on how you did in the interview.

Imagine that? Trying to help someone become an airline pilot? Who would want such a job. Sounds like a bad idea. Sooner or later, mutant cyborg UAV's will be flying passenger's around anyway. No one needs to pay them and they dont complain at all 'bout working conditions. Thats right I am out there straight outta right field. Food for thought.

I was talking about the ACTUAL Training! not the stupid RJ course. yes when you finish the RJ course you come to ground school. when you come to GROUND SCHOOL YOU HAVE TO PASS otherwise, contract or not they will send you home. Already a few have been sent.

We were obviously on a different page. I always thought that it was obvious that you had to pass ground.

Some of you people have no idea what you are talking about I just finished the course and am in eagle now indoc just finished for me. The RJ transition course stinks in a way, but is good also. Your getting exposure to everything that you never saw before profiles, flows, checklist and not dinky little checklist, memorization items, and yes you do the FMS alot all hands on. You do not get paid, but if you are worried about that then don't become a pilot at all. I did the RAA course the exposure to all this if nothing else is good so i suggest do it. Because you have no idea what you are in for when you get to eagle, alot of work and if your crying now when you get here you'll be even a bigger cry baby. And it is paid for so why not have a free paid for course that puts you ahead of the game. Alot of guys here at eagle which they had the choice to take it, what does 800TT time have to do with learning a jet.....nothing. You still don't know a jet no matter how much TT you have in pistons. So to leave off it''s a good idea. But be prepared for everything that's all I have to say...............................
