Maybe one of the PSA line crews can validate this website as helpful...

Info looks pretty good on systems from that website..i just glanced over it but not bad. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it we (psa) have one of the best training departments in the industry as far as I know. Out of a class of 19 we lost one, only due to him resigning for personal reasons. Our systems is computer based training augmented by instructors. After basic indoc it's two students to one instructor, if you try you'll do fine. As far as other information, see if you can get someone to send you the updated memory items, unless the ones have changed in the training packet you memorize those, get to training and they change them slightly. If your antiskid memory item doesn't say "pm will select antiskid to off" then you have the old ones...

You are prepared extremely well for the oral, and checkride. Do the studying you agreed to do, and know the material given to you, and you will be fine. It's up to you to succeed, PSA gives you everything else, and then some.

We can't even staff the 200's we have, so there is a 0% chance of getting the 900's any time soon. Good news is that there is a lot of movement. Lots of upgrades and lots of PSA Captains moving on to bigger and better things. Hotels are getting better. life is improving because of the current MEC. Before you come to PSA just make sure you can walk and chew gum at the same time. The biggest complaint i hear from Captains is that the new F/O's seem to know everything. A lot of us have a background of flight instructing, 135 and other airlines jobs before coming here. Many with over 10,000hrs. You can learn a lot from them. Come with an open mind and come prepared to learn every day you are on the line. If you don't you might be finding yourself fighting for your job.
The rumor I heard about the 900's was that management was not wanting to pay any more to fly the 900's and the union is not going along with that. And I don't think anybody wants to get paid to fly a 70 seater when flying a larger plan. But that is just a rumor so who knows.

And I agree with eveybody on the training department. They know what they are doing. If you go in there with a good attitude and get along with everyone and leave the FA's alone you will do fine and they will bend over backwards to help you. And there have been cases where a good attitude will get you a second chance, it happen to someone in my class. Just go in there and do what you are suppose to and you will do fine.

How long did it take you to hear back after the interview? Phone or email? I have a buddy waiting/stressing...

4 approaches (2 non-precision, 2 precision (2 handflown)) 2 single-engine as well, a V1-cut, a flapless approach and landing, go-around, balked landing, manuevering stall (only, if done well), steep turns... i forget if there was anything else... if anyone has anything to add please do.... they prepare you well, i did mine in CLT with in house instructors and the FAA for the checkride.

Goodluck
