AmericanEagleFO, how come your avatar shows a picture from the captain's side?

As one of the 4000 hour FOs at Eagle, let me tell you that it's not a bad regional. The upgrade is never going to happen for me or you, but just put that out of your mind and build some quality experience. Eagle training is respected in this industry and you can get a job like many of us have at either a LCC or fractional without PIC time.

I have no idea why they just lowered their minimums. I only know that they can't hire enough people to staff this place since the day I got hired.

My response would be "good on ya!"

I have always said that you are worth what you can negotiate. If a BE-1900 pilot group were able to successfully negotiate MD-11 pay rates, then they would truly be my heroes.

I think its backwards that a B1900 FO makes crap pay and works 10X harder than the MD11 FO. Where is the justice there?

Who wants to have career progression to a B1900?

Eagle is a SCUMMY OUTFIT run by an even SCUMMIER company (AMR). I GUARANTEE they won't have ANY problem finding pilots who are willing to work for that pay though. What would YOU do if you were starting over...do CFI work to build your time or work on a JET...

Not saying it's right, just saying it BE what it BE...

Your understanding of the industry is GLARINGLY APPARENT....nonexistent.

Just a question for the pilots and the industry. having not been through my flight training yet, I am trying to understand this.
Isn't it true that with the upgrade at eagle being so long, wouldn't a FO at a regional like Gojet with quick upgrade make it to the majors FASTER than one that works for eagle based on thier CA status?? Am I right on this one?
I read alot of threads in the forum that majors DO hire Gojet pilots, contrary to what alot of other people say on here. Maybe they are just jealous.
Am I right with my question?

Ive got the dreaded 'washout" on my record..wouldn't matter if Eagle dropped mins to "100/can you point out an airplane with more than one engin". With the slow down I'm not getting any calls but as much as I'd like to eat and keep my apartment I'm still not applying to Mesa/HoJets.

Anyone know of a good school to teach at or 135 ops running an SIC program?
