I'd love to go to an AIR Inc seminar but they are only every few months and in places far away from me (read warm places, MIA, DFW, LAX...). Im a flight instructor so not a lot of discretionary income so I am trying to do this with a minimum of outlay but it may come down to that... Thanks for the info regarding the classes, I have been trying since early January... Am I too eager and impatient?

Whoa!! This might be your problem right here. You need to realize this is an hiring situation and much more goes into it than just flight time. It could be a lot of reasons, from just not interviewing at the moment to having enough apps from people who come recommended. But to have any hope at all you must polite and show a great positive attitude. I doubt highly you ****ed anybody off.

Once you have been selected for interview, flight times go out the window, meaning all of you in the interview have pretty much an equal chance. How you come across in the interview is probably the biggest deciding factor to hire.

Lots of Colgan guys don't have degrees or are still working on them. In your case I think it was unusal for them to see an MD wanting to work for them and he was curious. So it worked!

Ahhhh. There is the key peice of info. Yes. You are a little to eager. The hiring for the Jan and Feb class was completed in Dec. And we aren't holding another class until late March or early April. I don't think they have started to schedule interviews for those classes yet. Have a little patience. Update your app later this month and if you haven't heard by the second week of March or so, give Cathy a polite call.

Not all I think. Depends on their hiring needs.
