I had an interview a couple of weeks ago. There was a written test (basic ATP questions, e.g. weather, aerodynamics, v-speeds), a computer test (INSTEAD of a sim ride), and finally the 2-on-1 (HR and pilot) interview.

I am in the June 2nd class. What phase of training are you in? Any words of wisdom? Did you and/or any of your classmates study any CRJ material beforehand, or did you just show up "cold turkey?"

It is one of the longest programs in the industry so you have plenty of time!

So, I don't know how you usually learn things but... I didn't read anything, look up anything, I didn't do anything, and I'm doing just fine. I suggest don't study ahead, don't read ahead, you probably won't really understand it and it will just confuse you. And probably annoy everyone else.

I would say study your limitations after indoc.. which would be the week before you take it.

Sorry about all of the punctuation errors... I'm really tired.

Oh yeah 4/21 so I have my systems test monday.

Id have to agree, I didn't study before hand. Honestly, I didn't study much outside of the class room maybe an extra hour a day after class. They keep you there from 8-4 everyday (sometimes earlier). The student notes they give you I found to be useless. Do yourself a favor and print out the systems manual. I studied that before every exam and did just fine. It explains things a lot better than their notes. However, they were trying to fix those when I went through so im not sure if they are any better now. Start studying limits after indoc, get ahead of the game. You will appreciate that one later.

Thanks a lot, guys! This just confirms what what the folks at Comair told me. Sometimes it's just better to show up with a clear and open mind! Are all of the newbies getting the CRJ200? And when do you find out where you'll be based? Is anyone getting JFK?

Thanks again for the input, and good luck on your test!
