That's the crux of the issue...any furloughs due to branded should happen before any integration. I think 99.9% of the SKW pilots will hold the line on that. Maybe your alpa brothers at ASA will willingly throw some of their young under the bus and help you out...go to one other their ATL LEC meetings and make a proposal to that effect.

I do think that the XJT should not trade away the branded without guaranteed recall rights (with longevity) into XJT, SKW, or ASA whichever has openings first.
Karma is a... well you know. Watch out what you say Rick. You conveniently leave out our Delta CPA at LAX. As for your Karma, watch what you say, because if Delta and United reduce you, which has a good chance of happening, who's feeling the pain now?

Delta and united can't reduce skywest. We have a % based contract with both of them. If they reduce us they have to reduce everyone else by more and that inclues you're little welfare flying in lax.

They said CAL couldn't reduce XJT flying either. Pride cometh before the fall!

Slapphappy, why don't you post this stipulation you have, because the last time I checked we are increasing planes in LAX as well as SLC. Throwing stones from a glass house isn't smart.

tpersuit, Lets try to keep it civil and constructive. We need to find a way to work things out and have a plan if mgmt decides they are going through with this with or without us on board. Think about this like we are all buds sitting in a nice place have a cold one vs sitting in a bar getting ready for a bar brawl.

I would love to have a civil debate, but some of these SKW pilots (EPIC, Slaphappy, etc.) are making that rather difficult.

Agreed they act like 3 yr olds with some of their post, but if you have kids you understand you have to be the reasonable one. This is a serious conversation about the future of potentially 7800 pilots and untold amounts of staff. Sure levity is fine to keep things from getting out of hand but outright snide, derisive comment are non productive

If you've noticed, I haven't really come on here and said much. I'm just trying to point out that we can make up reasons why Skywest will get reduced and why the Skywest pilots should get furloughed.

For me, I think if we did combine companies, I can see no other way than to merge the lists by DOH. This career expectations crap is not a good reason to fence anything since we can all end up undercutting each other and say you are losing your flying.

The only ones I am willing to get furloughed for are Major pilots taking their flying back. It deserves to go back to them

Slaphappy,
Is this what want people close to you see? Is this what you envisioned yourself saying when you graduated from college? This is a profession and we are all professionals. Do you think Judges, doctors, or preachers speak to each other this way. Is this the way you want your children see you? Come on lets stay focused on the problem and the solutions.
