is it possible I'm the only one that caught this?

Congratulations, you spotted a typo on Airline Pilot Forums - in one of Saab's posts, no less. Do you want a trophy?

Also they said that if they were able to find flying for the 31 to 51 jets that was profitable they would pursue that. Just my take after listening to it twice.
That is how I read it too. 2150 pilots for the CAL CPA. Then Skywest is going to review the DAL flying, the charter ops, and the branded flying. I believe that because they are profitable, Skywest will allow the DAL flying and charter ops to continue (add in 300 more pilots). Then they will take a good long look at the branded flying and make a decision. Skywest has publicly stated they would like a branded operation in the past. However, I think that with oil at $130/barrel and only going higher, Skywest will probably (IMHO) shut down the branded flying.

The alternative is to stay independent where I believe that the charter operation will be shut down anyway.

I think many Expressjet pilots saw the 2150 pilots and went and panicked and starting hating on Skywest before reading and truly thinking out Skywest's offer. Do you think they will shut down profitable flying? (the DAL flying and the charter ops) I think Expressjet pilots are going to make out far better if Skywest acquires them than they think. Even if they shut down the branded, I think it is a much better option than staying independent (having the branded shut down soon anyway) and then losing the CAL flying.

Im number 2110, so if we go down to a 2100 list, or 2150 with SkyWest I would either get furloughed, or just make the cut and be on the bottom, and I mean the bottom of the list, back to R1 Reserve, I guess better then being unemployed??

The thing is, if SkyWest buys us, its a numbers game, no sympathy, down to 2,100 pilots, easier and cheaper for them, with our management, they would go the "extra-mile", offer more COLAS, No-Fly lines, drop the line divisor down to 75 etc...............

Is the Delta flying making money now? I had thought that it wasn't (yet); from the 1st quarter 10-Q:

Delta Prorate. We have not yet been profitable in this operation and do not anticipate that we will be profitable in 2008. However, Delta remains a valued partner as we continue to establish our network of corporate customers and as we hope to become profitable in the future.
For this reason, I'd be very concerned about Skywest getting rid of it somehow.

See the problem we have is those are profitable operations and Skywest would shut it down and take the planes over on their side and use them right away. The biggest issue with a bunch of us is taking away our LAX base just to start flying themselves out of LAX. For a lot of us that live on the west coast, this is not acceptable.

exactly.

If you've noticed we should lose 400 pilots this year and that is with the slowdown. If hiring picks back up are attrition will go up even more. I think this is the best route to take since the people leave on their own free will.
