[QUOTE=fosters] If there were less of your type around, I'm convinced wages would go up.

I agree...but man, you don't have to be a bitter douche about it. Calling someone a "loser"... Is this middle school?

Default Supplementing income

Back to the main subject....I bought a Car Wash. Good cash flow and I don't have to be there every day.

Commercial SEL is all that's required. Getting insurance is the hard part. It doesn't matter how much time you have, mainly what they want is ag time. It's the old case of, "If you haven't been there, you can't go." Unless you can find someone that's self insured, of course.

Aside from the airplane stuff, you still need a pesticide applicators license, issued by the state you're working in. Not terribly hard to get in most states, but it will take some study and passing a test.

There is an agschool in Bainbridge GA. I went down there. They will train you and get you a tailwheel endorsement and train you to be a AGpilot and help you get a AG job once you graduate.

The guy told me in your third year you could make up to $90K but you would be working from sn up to sun down. The AG season is APril through October. Yo ucan chill or flight instruct the other mothhs.

Sounds like a fun way to spend retirement...I'll keep it in mind. I'm more in favor of something like SATSair or an charter / fractional flying light twins.

I just sold my left kidney through a Hong Kong middle man to a rich overseas recipient that I type matched. $$$$, Currently checking with the flight surgeon to see if I can fly with out a thyroid gland. $$$$

I have a sweet gig working for a Valet Parking company in St. Louis. I am garunteed $11 and hour but usually do more like $15. Definitely a nice supplement to my minimum garuntee months I get here at AWAC... $75 hours and no per diem is kinda sad... someday i'll be a real pilot and not have to work a second job.
