I haven't been able to listen to the Alpa open phone conversation so maybe ya's can answer some questions. Once we do the strike vote and it passes, how long til we strike? With the company knowing we're moving towards a strike can/are they trying to come to a contract agreement with our MEC?

Generally sometime after a strike vote.....day, months... in some cases a year or more... when in the eyes of the NMB the parties are at an impasse, they will have a 30 day cooling off period, during this time negotiations may or may not continue, usually after the 30 day cooling off, the parties are released to "self help".... even then a strike may not come immediately. Lots of variables involved.

Also, anyone know what happens if we are striking, and supposed to go down for CQ? Do we still complete our training events, or become dequalified?

I'd like to walk with you guys if it comes to that. Our management would LOVE to see a furloughed pilot wearing their uniform and walking a picket line.
