Thre are people who actually look at that stuff at your airline instead of filing it away for the 3 months?

Why? He reported a potential safety issue...... The crew made the decsion to disregard the rules and decrease safety so now you want to make the station mgr pay? Time to grow up and operate the aircraft according to the rules.

Well said NWA320 We should all be operating in a safe maner and according to the rules ... In the other hand, It would be more appreciated from the side of the manager to approach the crew and confront them right at the spot instead of turned them to the company and the feds probably costing them their careers. He had the authority and responsability to dont let the flight depart the gate but he opted to let it go. And I dont want to take out responsabilities from the crew; who did not act in a resposable way at all.

Lets all remember our main mission as a pilots is to fligth in the most safly way our passengers from point A to B and that particular day crew was not proffessional enough to do it.

In an additional note, the permanent bid came out. Best of the luck to all of you

Did he let the flight depart knowing what had occured or did he put it all together later? If he knew that there was an issue then he should have done something about it, but that still might have been to contact dispatch and inquire into the numbers resulting in the same outcome. I guess the bottom line is who is responsible for the weight and balance? Back in my regional airline days the FO was responsible and if he/she knowingly fudged the document they should pay the price. Personally I feel the station manager did exactly what he should have done, report a possible unsafe action to the people who can investigate it.

Just my $.02 worth

Did anyone else notice this on last week's Ask Piedmont?

Q. I know a lot of people will think this is crazy question, but is there any way I can voluntarily go to CQ every 6 months?
A. We're not sure exactly what you are looking for, but contact Training and talk to them.

I think management was as confused as I am...

Also, the new permanent bid is out. :-/ Have fun!

Wonder what the new alignment will look like?

What do you guys think will happen with staffing levels at the different bases?

LGA specifically for me. Crap I hope I don't get sent somewhere else.. that would ruin any QOL.
