You go to the next yearly step on the paycheck after your hire date. Rates increase every year on April 1 as well.
Those are your jet rates?

The first year pay for the jet should be equal or better than the turboprop. Alternatively they should increase the sign in bonus.

I agree, but I'll say this again. When choosing a regional or any line of work, look at the totality package that fits you. There're plenty of regionals with higher bonuses and high first year pay. Choose wisely.

I was looking at Commutair and they are currently offering $30/hr with a 75 hr guarantee plus $7000 if you have an ATP and another $15,000 if you have the requisite FAR 121 time. First year pay could be around $49,000 based on that. I know................ no flow.....double occupancy rooms....DHC-8 etc etc.

I honestly don't think the 24 first year pay will hold, once we do hire directly into the jet for FOs. There is no timetable for this, as current FOs are yet to bid, and there is little rush as we have nearly 6 months to our first revenue flight. At the time of the agreement, all you had to do was look around to several jet operators that paved the way to such rates. As stated numerous times, it is the total package that is worth a look at. You either see the benefits of being here or you don't. I am very proud and happy to be here and look forward to working with those that do see the opportunity and advantage here. If you don't, hey all the best in your search for better.
