Just got the happy news from SBY myself. Same situation as others; hard line to unemployment in 2 months.
And Meccathor, I checked this afternoon; CASS will still deny you if the employee # on both sides of your badge is the same (i.e.) not ex-Allegheny)

Hey, I just got "the call" from JB. I also heard from a couple of other friends senior to me who also got the call. Looks like the newest round of furloughs is going to be at least 40. Which means I just went from line holder to unemployed in two months. Yay. I hope MA unemployment is really good...
Newest round of furloughs, or actual first possible round of furloughs? I was under the impression Piedmont had not laid anyone off yet.

Heard that the airline will be operated with only one reserve in each base. Hopefully a lot of guys will be calling in fatigued. Get those junior mans out of the way ASAP and leave the company with nothing to do and a shortage of pilots.

No, first round of 30 is effective October 1st...this is the second round of an additional 40 effective November 1st.

They have trouble sometimes with 5-6 reserves in each base..
Surprised by the number 40... wasnt expecting nearly that many.. thought maybe another 30, or less.
