Newbie question: Some lines with 16 days off in PHL, awesome. Why not as many days off in the other bases?
I've seen on here lots of guys say that some (all?) of the woes with the schedule quality has to do with particular leadership at the top, but how does the current staffing situation affect things? Would a better staffing level produce lines with more time off/better efficiency or is that attainable now?

i feel they are marginally better.. Out of mdt there are still many 11 days off skd. I do see some lines that have 24 hour 4 days built... That's wonderful.. Now if they build all the lines like that.. I'm currently on a 4 day that is 20 hours... It's better.. Than say that 4 day 16 hour garbage

Well American is going to slow down hiring. But the good thing for PDT/ENY/PSA is they will be doing mostly all Flows, and Recalls. People off the street from other regionals will have a slim to almost impossible chance to get hired at American.

with american trying to use the flow to keep the pilot longevity low and less time at top pay, it's going to backfire eventually, when they are short on regional feed and can't cover their own routes.. Just my two cents..

I don't know if that is true.. I think it's just a way for them to build a hiring pool... So when a class doesn't fill up on flows and recalls they will pluck from the hiring pool with these poor people on deck just sitting and waiting.. Sooner rather or later american is just going to have to out right hire...
