Regional planes and pax reactions

From the military side of the house, we would try to put general officers on our Citation Ultra's whenever possible, but we had more BE200s so 2 stars and below usually couldn't get a Jet. When we had a big move, such as a major trip to Normandy or Latina (Anzio) some generals that normally had a Citation reserved just for them and their staff had to slum it on the Beech.
On one such trip big trip, LTG Sanchez walked out of the terminal and went straight to one of the waitings citations. On this trip I believe we only had 3 Citations available and 4-6 King Airs flying. Well as he was trying to board he got the message, "Um, sorry sir, you're not flying on this today, that is your plane," and the pilot pointed to King Air. A few four letter words later LTG Sanchez stormed down the ramp and got on a King Air which he had to share with a couple other Generals (again, something he usually never had to do).

Just remembered this for me:
A few months ago my friend and her friend were flying to the UK on CAL. When I spoke to her later she was talking about how "small" the 757 was and how she and her friend couldn't believe a plane that "small" was being flown transatlantic. I tried to explain that EWR-LGW is not much longer than LAX-EWR.

When I was working ramp years ago in IAD, had Walter "the Fridge" Perry get off a Jetstream (42) and complain to the supervisor about how small the plane was. Is there any plane big enough for that guy?
Disregard Mr. Ego earlier who couldn't help but try to make himself feel important because he flies the 170. I drive the "big" Brazilian too, and I have heard plenty of stupid pax complaints.

Was taking the originator out of CHS to PHL last week, as I was doing my walk around, they were also boarding a CR2 to LGA across the ramp. Several passengers walked out of the ramp level door and immediately headed towards the stairs up to the jetway attached to the PHL flight. They were subconciously looking for the airplane with the jetway, despite the elevator ride they took down to the ramp from the terminal with the jetway doors. It took a good 60 seconds of me pointing at the CRJ for them to understand that it was the flight to LGA, not my 175.

I flew the 1900D for coex...the stories are endless. I don't know if other companies still fly with the doors open after 9-11 but man we used to play with pax. I brought AAA trip ticks and acted like we were using them in flight.
Had a lady come on board crying about flying with us...told her..you don't have to ride with us...she said she was fine...As we took off from DAY-CLE this lady starts screaming at the top of her lungs...so loud that she sets off the hot mic in our headsets. Later in the flight went back and told her...we can't have that screaming on the landing...the paxs around her said that won't be a problem....
On an ATR at Express flying into EWR..ATC asked them to slow..which rarely happened ...this guy got so excited that he started hitting the horn on the overhead(used to get ramps attention on the ground)...over and over...telling the guy ahead to speed up...only problem was..he was hitting the wrong button...he kept hitting the FA chime...the FA thought she was getting the brace brace signal...She started yelling Bend over heads down ...all the way in...what a riot!!
