??Great Lakes??

Careful BUR, your SJS is flaring up. The only place I am aware of that requires jet time is United, and I have a feeling the turboprob has a better chance of becoming obsolete before United starts hiring again. And our Captains are still leaving for coporate jobs. Six in September alone. Besides, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, FedEx and Alaska didn't seem to mind.

I'm a Laker who keeps a positive attitude as much as I can....and while your point is valid, CA pay is still very bad. Make sure you avoid Lakes if you can't stand the thought of living like you're still in college for a few more years.
It's amazing to me how in every single Lakes thread, a post similar to this one is made. Ebee is correct in saying that many are leaving for corporate gigs as well as most of the places all the cool kids at SkyWest and XJet are leaving for. How come no one ever says the same thing about the Brasilia? People are always more than ready to jump on guys about how 1900 time gets you nowhere, but never mention the Brasilia. Why?

Hey Kansas, I hear ya brotha. Pay could always be better and in most cases we do deserve to be paid better. The way I see it, for a single guy like me, if you earn pay that forces you to live like you're still in college, then why not enjoy a couple more years of the college lifestyle, minus the boring classes and studying, but with all the fun of flying with a great bunch of people, such as the pilot group I've heard Great Lakes has?
I'm glad to hear you're keeping it positive. There's good to find in almost any place you can fly regardless the size of the aircraft or paycheck, especially when it has quality people working there.
BURflyer, I'm sorry for your poor attitude and bitterness and that you've missed out on the more enjoyable aspects of being a pilot.
