Must be cleanly shaven? I think that was a hint for our grandma FA's...Uniforms pants must be the correct color.. I'm tried of buying pants that zippers break after a few uses. So I will not by M&H pants. Umm k.. ugggggggggggggggg

PS. Are they related?
How about this new URGENT Cat II memo? How is it our fault they have no way of tracking FAA requirements for Cat II? Yeah, one more job we're supposed to do with no raise and a management that flips us the bird at every contract negotiation session. Sure, I'll bend over backwards for yah. Whatever you say buddy.

And yes, we're understaffed in both DTW and MEM now. Half the folks I know are, like myself, going to be timing out before December too.

Who is ready for the "don't call in sick" threats we're about to get the next several months? Flu season... What is that!?

My favorite was the APU memo. LOL. Company will continue to pay millions in APU overages until pilots get a contract. Management can't seem to comprehend that and a lot of other things.

Then you have the company guys who don't want to run it more than five minutes. They don't understand the wear and tear on the APU isn't from running it, its from starting and stopping it. Such a great idea to run it for five mintues then shut it down before everything is up to operating temperature.

Passenger Comfort. And I'm sticking too it.

So it is official that we have canceled classes? That truly sucks. I fly in DTW and hadn't been JA'd since May. Then on Sat, after flying 29 hours in six days, they called me at 10:15pm to JA a high speed. I didn't answer the phone, but apparently they were going to dead head me one direction to have me fly home in the morning.

I think this is just another sign of how understaffed we still are. They JA'd out of DTW all week. I personally think scheduling is doing a great job with what they have to work with, and I can only imagine that they get as frustrated as we get.

I guess this is a sign of a long winter to come. I can't wait to see the new people out of training and flying the line.

Yeah...lots of open time out there it seems. And pitiful reserve coverage. It's like someone forgot about the junior FOs going to ATL, and forgot our block times were going up vs. Sept., and now the JA stuff is going nuts again. It's so crazy we have like 250 pilots in a holding pool, we're upgrading ANOTHER 16 into ATL (8-10) and it's like no one has looked at our FO numbers at all.

You guys love Pinnacle. You should be thankful for all the jobs they provide to inexperienced pilots and the experience to actually get paid to fly a jet upon graduating from the prestigious University of Jet.
Better get your flu shots so you can keep your number one on-time going into 2009!!!

The U.S. Department of Transportation ranked Pinnacle Airlines Corp.’s subsidiary, Pinnacle Airlines Inc., No. 1 for having the best on-time arrival rate for the U.S. mainland in August.

The ranking marks the fourth month in a row that Pinnacle was either No. 1 overall or on the mainland.

Pinnacle led all mainland carriers with an on-time arrival rate of 89.64 percent. Hawaiian Airlines, at 92.26 percent, led all carriers.

Memphis-based Pinnacle (NASDAQ: PNCL) is an airline holding company and is the parent company of Pinnacle Airlines Inc. and Colgan Air Inc. It is the largest regional airline operating at Memphis International Airport.

You are right, I don't work there (thankfully). I do know tons of people who do work there on both sides (pilots, dispatchers, schedulers, mx people, etc...).

and what prestigious regional do you fly for that has never hired low time pilots, and how many contract negotiations have you been through? have you once said anything poitive about anything on this forum? or is it always "i'm bettert than you cause my regional has never flown a mainline route?" or "My regional has never bid for another regional's flying". Plus from skimming your posts I see you usually don't know what you are talking about, you just like anonymous bashing.

Lot of things positive about aviation, not just the Mesa's and Pinnacle's out there... sorry. I wish I could be more positive about 900's and especially Pinnacle getting 900's but yet still poverty wages lacking work rules. Till that changes and on time performance suffers, I guess I'm entitled to my same old opinion about Pinnacle.

and how many routes is your company flying for Midwest Airlines? Or what was Midwest? i think you are at skywest....

plus nice of you to compare 9 year old contracts with new ones that you just happened to walk into due to the fights of the pilots before you....

The schedulers at 9E do a good job with what they are told and given. With our management they are under strict instructions on what they are allowed to do. And then they are given a thousands of hours to cover with less then 5 crews per a/c, and on top of that less then 15 rsv pilots per base per day. Because we cover that during the summer our management in their infinite wisdom thinks you can do that with winter ops.

So they fly guys a 100 hrs a month all year and wonder why they time out around october.

Then they see few delays from May to Sept, and wonder why there are wx delays Nov to Mar.

Every year surprised by sick calls during seasonal changes.

So here is how we send a message, NOBODY pick up their phone, they will be forced to use reserves, and when that runs out, uh-oh, they will scramble to start classes. Delta will force the new contract with the pilots to include more crews per a/c = more jobs. And stop using cell phones for mx issues, and disregard that URGENT MEMO, no where in our job description does it say we are responsible to make sure the a/c is maintained, only that the books are up to date.(and if you read the memo carefully all it says is that if the cat II expires you have to have it written up, and if its within 10 days of expiring to you are REQUESTED to do a practice, I forget requests all the time) And that memo that we need to look like professionals, why dont they pay us like professionals, but dont take it like we should walk around like a bunch of slobs either.
