Not me. I left GA when I left instructing and I haven't looked back. My memories of GA are not pleasant.
I remember hot summer days, very low wages (when White Castle hamburgers seemed like a $100), students with more money than common sense, the smell of oil and avgas, cramped cockpits and very low wages.
The winter time was the same except that it was incredibly freezing outside. And the wages were very low.
Don't get me wrong, aviation has turned out to be a great career, and GA was a means to help me get to where I am today, but I do not desire to take part in it as a hobby. Personally, especially when the air outside is very cold, I would rather be in a billiards hall playing pool.

General aviation is what I love. If I never flew an airliner again, I'd be alright, so long as I could fly SOMETHING. However, this is in the context of making your money elsewhere and flying for fun such that you don't rely on it to pay the bills.

16R is a fantastic movie. I was finally able to get back to flying some GA now that I'm out of the regional poorhouse and off probation at Brown. I looked back and it had been over ten years since I got to point an airplane in the direction I wanted to point it, not where some penny-pinching, box driving, airline management guy told me to point it.
I'm an annual camper at Oshkosh (okay if I must say AirVenture), and have been an EAA Chapter for years. I enjoy being around pilots of all types, private, retired airline/military/corporate, active of the same.
If it is a disease, I don't want the antidote.

You mentioned wages 3 times in your post. If wages are involved, then you are speaking of commercial aviation.

well my instructor pay is utterly pathetic as well... but then i realize... im being paid to fly airplanes while my friends of the same age (college) are making possibly the same or less...and i get to fly airplanes...and meet all kinds of cool people. although instructing for 800 hours of dual isn't eveyones dream... we still get to fly.
now just the money..........
