I also have the Bose X, and found that many times I had forgotten to turn on the ANR.

A few guys have commented on the -200 being louder than the -700/900. I guess I've always thought the opposite. The avionics fans on the stretch seem louder because of the large grates on the wall near the floor. I never flew both though. Maybe the jumpseat is quieter than the pilot seats since you are farther away from the fans?

TELEX 850 works great on the 700/900, and is adequate for the 200 especially if you have the newer windshield wipers.

Super-light, compact, and the ANR is powered by the airplane...no batteries. Not cheap at $450, but cheaper than some of the other ANR options.

Note: I had to return mine twice after about one year for repairs, but they have a three year warranty. My non-ANR 750's lasted for many years with no glitches before I lost them. I'm assuming I just got a lemon, and it's not indicative of the whole product line.

Have had my Telex 850's for about a year now and couldn't be happier. Light ANR headset that require no batteries (like said before powered by mic jack). CRJ-200 driver FYI.

Don't forget that Avionics fan in the -700...sitting right-seat when the CA has slid his chair forward leaves you with an incredibly noisy fan in your left ear, requiring a darn good headset IMHO.

Oh, and tally another fan of the Sennheiser line. I use the HMEC-25KAS.

With the optional earbud, the UFlyMike is a FULLY TSO'd headset combination.
