Not to be too blunt, but when it comes to providing an education for your kids, but some folks can't and some folks can; those that can typically do.

Ahh, I don't know. If you can afford it go ahead. But if u can't don't sweat it.

I don't understand this type of mentality... Why wouldn't you want your kids to get a head start and have a better life than you did? I have lived in many places around the globe but I can truly say that USA is the only place where people are contempt with poverty and they look down others that want to make a comfortable living. It's ironic that in one of the capitalistic societies I am knocked down for wanting to make money.

Didn't say I wouldn't want them to have a head start, but who knows what kind of programs will be in place by the time they're 18. Maybe they can work they're way through college? Sorry, I grew up with money always being an issue, and my parents instilled in me strong working values. That's why the previous poster has the same attitude.

wow. you really don't care to improve things do you. this guy wanted more out of this career but he wasn't going to get it with folks like you that think things are just fine. i guess that makes you 'cut out for your colgan job'.

Whats so wrong with people trying to make the regionals a better place... some of what N2 says is right... since I started in 2000 things have gotten worse in the regionals, and we and our unions let it happen.
JetU and the likes are just killing the drive to make regionals better... they pump the regionals full of kids who could careless what they make, because dad the DR. gives JR an extra 2000K month. We had a couple kids driving brand new BMW's in my new hire class that came straight from JetU. This is why it will never get any better.

I was driving behind this kid in my neighborhood who was wearing the three stripes driving a BMW with a handsfree device attached to his ear. I was so impressed. As George Carlin used to say "while you've got your hands free"......fill in the blank.
