Why? It will only depress you. Yes, we will start hiring again in Jan. But that is for attrition only. Right now we are loosing an avg of 7-10 pilots per month tops.

I think the previous thread was compromised due to an extreme breach of english.

What is the purpose of a "New" Pinnacle new hire classes thread when there are no Pinnacle new hires?
Hey...what about starting a Pinnacle orders new 757's thread? Or a Pinnacle becomes it's own major thread...or even more outlandish: Pinnacle signs a TA!

Maybe ... because no one had anything to say about Pinnacle new hire classes?

Is there a pool of new hires already waiting for class?

hi. i'm new to this regional world of aviation. still not hired so am not clear what you mean when you say losing 7-10 pilots per month. people leaving? and are these fo's or capt's that you are referring to?

i have no clue why anyone would leave their jobs looking at the current market and such low demand for pilots when most of the other regionals are not hiring, instead furloughing. i fail to understand why they would leave and where do they go?

also when you speculate that hiring will start again in jan, are you referring to classes coming back up or interviews etc? thanks so much for the help

People could leave far any number of reasons. Could be retirement, loss of medical, going to other job, getting out of aviation. Just to name a few

There are a few (very few) captains leaving for places like Southwest and fractionals. A few Capts and FO getting out of the business and getting real jobs.

There are currently about 200 people in the pool, but don't let that discourage you. Many are furloughees who may not want to give up their seniority numbers when it comes time to start class. Although plans can change at any time, it looks like there will be no new hire classes until at least January. Maybe not until March.

Good luck.

Why are there so many complaints when someone starts a new thread? Maybe he doesn't wanna sift through 50+ pages of garbage to find anything useful. A new thread is streamlining the process. Are you worried about server space or something? Find something worthwhile to complain about.

thanks for the info. As far as 200 people in the pool is considered, hopefully that wont bother me too much. i on within the top 15 when classes got canceled in september, and so HR told me that when classes do come back up, ill be in the first or second class to go depending what the class size is. so thats a relief

i am hearing that it is 7-10 guys attrition rate per month, sound about right? and is this mainly from the 900s or the 200's? any idea?

one more thing someone mentioned to me was that they are short staffed on fo's but overstaffed on capt's. again is this accurate? but where is the short staffing... on which aircraft 900 or 200?
