I got denied a 4 leg drop request "due to staffing" so we are either fat or I have horrible timing, could be either one I suppose. Line values have been more in the 75-80 hour range which is historically low from my last 2+ years here when the values were in the 85-95 hour range. Evidently we are still junior manning enough for Mgmt to keep issuing memo's about how we need to accept them all (when in reality we have no requirement to be on call for them when we are off). Is the glass half full or half empty?

On staffing: We are very fat on MEM CA and slightly fat CA systemwide. We are lean on FO's, which is the normal Pinnacle staffing model. As a CA, I have flown 4 hours this month on reserve. This is the first month I've bid it in a while and am loving it since I live in base...I needed certain days off this month and couldn't hold them any other way. I think we'd see displacements obviously before any furloughs b/c as a whole pilot group, the staffing seems about right.

According to your profile on the left, you would fall under the FO distinction that was referred to here in my post:
BTW: I'll be just under 800hrs for the year.
