I'm about half way up the list in MSP. I cant live off just 75hrs a month and I havent had a highspeed all year.

Its amazing how some people say they are lean on FO's, while others say that they are fat, staying on reserve for 2 weeks

I doubt 9E will run a NH class in the spring of 09, maybe not even all year 2009. Unless of course theres a contract in place, like you guys have mentioned, with increased flying, more airframes, and more staffing need. Lets see

wasn't able to bid for this month thats why i'm on reserve, was just stating that with 21 FOs that day was alot considering we only have 18 planes total in atl and cvg.

3greens,

MD90 is in ATL, which is a completely different and heavily staffed operation than the nw side. Chances are when someone says we're short, it's a MEM or DTW guy mad b/c he/she can't get a trip trade approved or b/c he/she was ja'd. When someone says we're overstaffed, it's usually an ATL guy, because we are overstaffed in ATL compared to the nw side.

You should just hope they don't start keeping 900 guys cross-quald on the 200, or company-wide it would probably eliminate the need to hire until late 09 if then...although I think you're safe for now beause of seat locks...

How much is the avg reserve dude flying over there md90??? I guess the TDY to CVG is temporarily gone for Jan since they can't do TDYs for more than x number of months...heard there will be a lot of bridge trips through there b/c of that, and that CVG hotel has twice as many rooms booked as the past few months b/c of no TDY crews there to cover stuff...still wish we had a base there or indy!!!

Sir,

so in your opinion, are they overstaffed, lean or properly staffed out at MSP, MEM, and DTW?

My last trip of the month is all out of CVG. DH from ATL, fly 4 days out of CVG, then DH back to ATL. I never touch ATL all week. I was on rsv for the end of Oct and all of Nov, due to the fact I couldn't bid and other than OE, I flew one highspeed from CVG to LEX. No flying at all on rsv.

On the FO side out of DTW, I really thought we were properly staffed or fat now that the classes from September are flying. DTW gets 14 of the new people according to the vacancies for January.

That being said, apparently we are still short. I was called sunday at about 8 pm, yesterday during the day, and again this morning at around 830 for junior assignments. I did not make the mistake of answering the phone so I am still enjoying my days off, but seriously, three days in a row??? Something isn't right with our staffing if they are out of reserves to call at 830 in the morning.
