Just wanted to say - best post I've read to date and I'm sorry about your father... what you shared with us alone shows he was a quality man. I wish you a Merry Christmas and strength during your hard times.

It's posts like this that gives me hope and inspiration to continue fighting. Words cannot explain my appreciation for the words you given me along with everyone else who is reading. Change is the only constant thing in life and when one learns to accept and adapt, it would be so much easier. My condolences for your lost. Keep your head up and again thank you for giving me that much more fuel for my fight ahead. Fly safe and Happy Holidays....

"BringdaFunk" you did what I tried to do but failed miserably. Thank you for putting it so clearly even for the layman. The point you made that was very profound needs to be understood even more. Some people will go to GoJet to fulfill Maslows' first hierarchy of needs but some will do it to fulfill the fourth or whatever.
We as pilots have done everything possible to undercut and abuse one another and it is truly sad when some crews have to spend nights in terminlas for being denied jumpseats. But that is a whole other discussion. If we keep treating each other this way with vendettas so personal they would make Chuck Norris look like Mary Poppins, then we are DONE. And once management sees all the division among the ranks nothing will make them happier. Merry christmas fellas!

Im just glad this hasn't taken a 180, I thought there would be a lot more replies in the negative! I just found out that TSA furloughees have pref. hiring at Gojets, trust me, if you are on furlough, going to get a job at GJ isn't going to kill your career.

Great post. I'm glad to see a good attitude for once.
Yes, I start a 4-day on Christmas with 5 flights. I already have candy canes, santa hats, a christmas tree and some christmas music for me passengers. We might all be stuck in an aluminum tube on a holiday, but darn it, we're going to have a good time - and we're going to make those passengers glad they flew with us on Christmas.
It is rather difficult to post on this board. People will take one sentence and try to nail you to the cross... and over silly things too.
