Or I'm too cheap. You decide!

Default Info from eagle lounge

Forgot I had a membership its been so lon.. hope this helps

Q&A: 1: FAA 9-month NPRM will take year. Is Eagle planning on implementing this program regardless of the results? Will we see a 9 month program sooner? No. Will ask training folks what they are doing in preparation for this possible ruling.

2: Plans for new aircraft. Additional or replacement ATR? Saabs coming back? Parking jets? Originally put down 29 135's with getting back 10 TSA 145s. Got back 2 TSA so far (2 per month). AA said they were going to reduce out NE flights 1700 less so 10 135s will be retained. Net loss of 9 jets. Saabs are gone, no word on them coming back. Management seems very interested in exercising CRJ options but can't until the APA arbitration is complete (2 weeks?). Might happen. Rumor company wants to bring ATR fleet count up to 43 from 39. OVERALL NET LOSS of 5 aircraft (if CRJ's are bought, nothing else changes)

CRJ Acquisition rate? Delivery dates 14-24 months. Some carriers are trying to get out of delivery dates, so Eagle could potentially start taking them next year.

1 TSA crashed but is fixed and will return. New Christine?

--------------------

Bob: Arbitration of flowthroughs. (missed it by distraction) Grievance whether our pilots should be in class with TWA pilots on recall will be held on June 1st and 2nd. (Tentative)

FO Joe: Newhire classes?
Dave: Rough estimate based on attrition, company thought maybe late spring. Recruitment department has not been activated and nothing official has been noted.

FO Robert ORD: Regarding 24 hour TT window; trip kicked back as "not current".
Dave: The system doesn't understand the rollover of years and months so it kicks out trip trades made which crosses from one month to the next. The trip trade can be made manually.

FO James: Flowback arbitration; Will they be able to retain Captain seats?
Dave: Both Eagle and ALPA both believe Letter 3 expired and, as a result, only Eagle seniority is controlling. Therefore, the 27 flowbacks will only be able to hold seats their seniority allows. Dave thinks our position is sustainable. Only Section 15 of our CBA applies.

Capt Pete LAX: AEA 8% capacity reduction in 2009. Any details?
Dave: Meeting this Friday on details. My understanding was not in addition to previous reductions (BOS, Saabs, some 135s, etc). No new announcements on reductions are anticipated. Hope to confirm these details at Friday's meeting.

Paul: When will flowthroughs start going.
Dave: AA recalling in February (25 plus 15 deferred). If they recall anther 25 in March, it will be a good sign. IF they keep the recall going, Recall rate is 1 for 10

2900 on the street. Last time they had called 1700. ANother 1200 to call. The day they call the most junion pilot on furlough two things happen: A 3 year clock starts ticking and they start hiring. 2954 pilots on furlough. Any pilot on the street who deferred can come back at any time there is a class.

Flow throughs 388 plus 154. Opitimistically, flowthroughs can start flowing in six months IF AA keeps recalling.

CA Dave DFW: TSA aircraft. Is AMR cutting all ties with TSA?
Dave: AMR is stopping capacity purchase agreement with TSA. AA bought all of our seats whether or not we go out full or not (Fee for departure. Last years capacity cuts at AMR also came from TSA.

TSA used to fly 14 jets for AA. 10 are coming back to us. TSA will now do "Pro Rate" flying for AA meaning they get a portion of the ticket sales. If the flight goes out full, both TSA and AA make money. If TSA goes out empty, they lose money and Aa doesn't lose anything. Since the negotiations are between TSA and AA, we don't have access to the details.
With lower cost fuel, the smaller aircraft are more economical.

The current economic climate of lower fuel costs and fewer passengers flying has made smaller aircraft a favorite again.

Ken ORD: Is Bombardier still making the 700?
Dave: Yes.

Bob: Will the company be willing to pay the Flowthroughs to go?
Dave: In the TA, yes. No plans now, but everytime union meets with management, a main company concern is pilot longevity. Many ideas and plans have been looked in order to correct this problem.
Bob: (Speculates company will pay FTs to go).

CA Owen: AA will have a class of 10 in March (reflects 15 deferrees who accepted in January) Net of 25 for Feb and 25 for Mar.

CA Kathleen: Returning from LOA. Will another buy out agreement be negotiated.
Dave: two months ago discussion with PB and senior staff asking them to offer another early retirement plan due to BOS closure. So far they haven't responded with anything concrete.

Matt: TWA arbitration in June. Will same arbitrators be used since a new Administration is in the White House? Frustrated with Larocco and arbitration process. Is there any way to expedite the process?
Dave: Yes, same arbitrators. At some point the new President will appoint new members, but it won't affect June. 2 day arbitration, 2 weeks for transcipts, 45 days for rebuttals,....
The only way to expedite is for all 4 parties to agree to is. Unlikely to happen.

Matt: Force to flow?
Dave: Since Letter 3 has expired, there is nothing to force someone to go. ALPA supports programs to maximize flow to everyone's betterment.

Steve CA: Buyout. Was company happy with results? Company obviously puts out as least amount of money for maximum effect.
Dave: COmpany got the numbers they expected, but not what they wanted since they knew there wasn't enough money on the table. 12 Captains took the bridge.

Andy: Eagle participating PHX job fair. Are we hiring Pilots?
Dave: first I've heard about it. Recruiting department not activated. Company has no forecast for hiring, but speculates late spring. Company is hiring flight attendants.

If AA keeps recalling this year, they'd be one of the few.

Insanely expensive. I think less than $5 if my memory serves me correctly.
