ASA, as is SKW, is overstaffed by 200-300 pilots. 10 a/c only protects 100-110 pilots which still leaves them overstaffed.

Good luck all.

They're parking the ATR fleet too.

Also sorry to hear about the furlough. Eagle and ASA were the only two airlines I applied to in the spring of 2008, and the guy at ASA called me 3 times a week trying to get me to interview -I was extremely interested, but had already started training at Eagle- my DOH would have been in February...so I would've been right there too.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is going to continue to the other carriers that have tried so valiantly to stave off furloughs.

Best wishes to all of you.

I interviewed and was hired in march but was in the group that they changed their minds on cause of the first round of DL Layoffs... Guess it was a good thing I didnt end up going... To all who are getting furloughed I only hope its not for long....

Welp, I'm also part of the 80.

As much as I saw this coming it still sucks. On the other hand, it is a huge weight off my shoulders. At least now when looking for jobs I can tell a future employer when I can actually start.

Good luck brothers. I just hope we don't hear of open time pick-ups skyrocketing.
