It's a nice change of pace for both...Mesaba gets the West Coast for a bit, while SkyWest fills in with addt'l East Coast stations. It will return to normal, but be sure to enjoy it out West while you're here!

The point of my post was that I was just was just asking what kind of response you are expecting from people with threads like this. I am also about 100% certain one of our pilots didn't start a Pinnacle to fly to STX PLS NAS COZ BZE thread along with a Pinnacle new hires thread, a Pinnacle may furlough thread, and a Pinnacle classes thread. Half of this website is Mesaba stuff. Man, I knew there was a reason I haven't been on here in 3 months. Time for another 3 month break.
Please leave and never come back. Seriously. You're just a cute ball of fun aren't you? We don't need any more Debbie Downers on this site.
Maybe one day when Pinnacle get some cool new routes (not out West though because Mesaba will be flying those routes ) you can start a thread on here that says..."FLAGSHIP NEW ROUTES TO XXX". They you can be happy for once and celebrate a change from the old. Lets be positive! I hope Mesaba and SkyWest guys/gals can all get along.

You sound like a broken record by repeating that the XJ inroad to the West is temporary. The 5 going to SLC for XJ is not going to be temporary for business reasons. I don't know how long you have been in this business but DAL is known to have several regionals in the same region to whipsaw between each other. DAL will keep adding few more routes to XJ to fly SLC to various other Western cities.

DAL is most likely to split the western routes to XJ, Pinnacle, and Compass in addition to Skywest. Compass is already flying to PHX and SEA, I believe and XJ is already flying to Montana, Wyoming, DEN and COS in Colorado. As a result DAL will most likely have XJ, Compass, and Pinnacle flying out in the West. Same goes for the Southeast and Southwest. We are already seeing that in the Southeast, as DAL added Fort Myers, in addition to Tampa and Valparaiso that XJ was already flying.

Default A Modest Proposal

I have come to the conclusion that many regional pilots decend from Irish lineage and / or rugby players.

Their behavior (at least on this forum) remind me of the "extremes" of human behavior - rugby players resorting to cannibalism while surviving an airplane crash:

Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and Jonathan Swift's proposal that starving Irish famlies would do well eating their children.

Jonathan Swift - A Modest Proposal

Israel has a strategic goal of keeping Arab countries fighting between each other. Could it be that airline management does the same with Regional Pilots ?

If so, they are doing a good job.

I'd say they are doing as good a job as the Israelis. Good point.
However, I don't think it's any different amongst Major airline pilots. Just look at the Major forum threads arguing amongst "native DAL vs. NWA, DAL vs AirTran, SWA vs the rest of the world, etc." Must be the pilot personality thing.

OK. Thanks for the update. So it looks like Compass and Mesaba both fly to FCA and PHX for now.
