i noticed in ATL that people were very friendly this morning whether it was a nod of the head or smile, they just kind of knew...i cant explain it but it was def a different way of looking at pilots .... a certain appreciation that they realized that we are important and are responsible for them and their loved ones, it made me feel proud for all of us and what we do day in and day out regardless of any incidents and accidents....people know now once again that flying can be dangerous and it s a reminder for them that pilots are professionals, not glorified bus drivers that will get you to where u need to go but will be there when the goin gets tough to do their best to get you out of the situation, whatever that may be.....today really made me happy once again to be proud of what we do day in and day out....

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but perhaps it's your perspective that's changed and people are just being normal...

I've never had so many "Thank You's" and "Great Flight" in my life yesterday...Pax in RIC were tell all the gate agents that US Airways has the best pilots.
Firefighters and Cops all across the country were regarded as heros after 9/11
Maybe its our turn now
