Sure there are a few individuals out there no doubts, picking up open time, but the majority of your peers are honoring the "no pick up open time" rule. The least you can do is not make us look bad on this forum.
No need to be condescending. I never acted that way toward you.

I'll simply say thank you for the clarification. I'll keep it in mind.

You mean you're not going to apologize for falsely accusing your peers that are honoring you the furloughs by taking a lifestyle hit. No one is being condescending; you just accused your active co-workers of picking up open time, and used the pipe as your source....nice.

I called you out and now you don't know what to say. Well at least say you're sorry for misrepresenting your pilot group.

So since 80 people are furloughed nobody is allowed to pick up open time. So if I say to my daughter that she cant have what she wants for her birthday because 80 people I have never met are out of a job for a few months, and I cant make a couple hundred extra bucks, she is supposed to understand what that means?

Some people need to get a few more hours each month. Or in the case of commuters it might be better to grab a 2 day out of initial open time to avoid getting stuck with some lousy non-commutable day line or something.

Before yall go calling everyone a scab think about some peoples situations out there that might need 5 or 10 more hours on the check.

I agree dont go grabbin 5 more trips or anything but dont jump to the scab gun too quickly.

My post would make more sense if I clarify for the commuters it might be better to grab a trip in initial open time to avoid being integrated into something non commutable.

The Pipe is a crappy webboard, but it's more of a source of information than what you're giving me. You're going off of what? Crew room talk? Not much better.

Pick up advertise, or budget accordingly, or with your attitude you can always go work for gojets, they don't seem to have any moral boundaries. Clearly you don't care for your peers at ASA that will have a hard time providing for their families at all….real class act!

Neither ALPA nor management have publicly stated that is ok to pick up open time, furthermore, your peers are not doing it, so your statement is irrelevant. Are you now denying that you falsely accused your peers based on information from a non official company site known for it's inaccuracies?

Dude, just say you're sorry for making such accusations, and misrepresenting your pilot group, and move on.

Oh and my sources are the Scheduling supervisors, who've stated such in meetings.
