I'm a skeptic, a cynic... Working in corporate america shows you the true intentions of 99% people (If your eyes are open!)... Behind every great fortune is a crime, and behind every offer is an angle. Schools are businesses too. Money's value is made up too...
I don't mean any harm or insult to anyone... I just feel it is important to express how I see things. Sugar coating things creates the problem we have in the US right now... Lawsuit happy, over sensitive(or at least pretending to be for personal gain), fake, paranoid society. Suppressing their true feelings only to eventually snap, or end up on anti-depressants. Is it any wonder that they claim 'mental illness' is on the rise? Drug companies need a profit too. LOL ok, ok, I'm going too far I know...

Colleges and Universities were not created to teach people...they were created to make money.
Hospitals weren't built to save people, they were built to make money.

I fail to see your point in this post other than to rant against advanced education, which, in my mind is just ill logical. Who would ever tell they're child NOT to go to college? Sounds like a blue collar chip to me.

I knew there was going to be at least one person to make that comment. Because we all know an online forum is like a college essay and we proofread posts. Or maybe he's suggesting everyone goes to college to get an English major, I dont know. Just a thought.

State Colleges are not for profit institutions, so were is your argument here? Private Colleges can be for profit, and I'm sure make a lot of people good money but so what?

State Colleges are revenue generating for the State. Federal Tax code gives states additional aid for state-run education institutions.
I graduated college, however I have friends who are absolute retards to breezed through school. So I don't believe that college makes you any better than a HS grad. Not at all. Some of the brightest people I've come across didn't go to college.
So kids- go to college. But if you don't, don't think you're any less.
